Facilities at AKRG High School
Our school provides well-equipped facilities to enhance learning experiences for students. Below are the main facilities:
Science Lab
A well-equipped laboratory is the right hand of a science teacher. Science is a subject that should be taught through experimentation and activities.
Our school has a lab suited to the needs of every class. Preserved models, specimens, slides, and microscopes help children understand biological concepts easily. Chemistry and physics labs are also well-equipped for experiments. Computers in the lab provide visual aids.
Mathematics Lab
To encourage experimentation, a mathematics lab was set up in June 2006 with a minimum of 64 kinds of maths kits (Abacus Kit, Factorization Kit, Circles Kit, etc.). Students from classes IV to X use these kits alongside their lessons.
Social Lab
The Social Lab meets the requirements of students of all grades with facilities that enhance understanding of Social Sciences concepts.
Teachers and students interact closely, allowing teachers to assess performance effectively.
Computer Lab
The school has three well-equipped computer labs. “Computer Science” is part of the curriculum from Class III onwards.
Students attend practical classes where they learn programming and technical skills. The graded syllabus progresses from Logo to Python according to class level.
Library
The school library is enriched with different titles for general reading and reference. Students borrow books and use the library for periodicals, news, and encyclopedias.
It has about 15,000 books including textbooks and reference materials. Students from Class V onwards are issued one book per week. Library Week is celebrated annually from 14th to 21st November.
Digital Language Lab
To make learning joyful, we have a fully functional Digital Language Lab.
